Hi guys!

I've been away for some time! Have been quite busy after I decided to turn full-time to photography. Work has been satisfying, and it's really great to be able to meet people from all walks of life!
Hope things didn't change too much around here. But in fact, I did drop by every now and then, only that I didn't have opportunities to interact as much as I wanted to! I'm very sorry that I might not be able to respond to everyone's fave or comment like I have always been doing, largely due to the workload...

Anyway, here's a little update on what's happening in my little world

-Really, REALLY happy to be published (finally) in print in the Photography For Beginners magazine! And it's a 2-page spread! I can't believe it...

-As for work, it's been mainly events such as corporate events, graduation ceremonies, weddings etc. Yes, I finally shot my first full day Actual Day wedding! Actually I was quite nervous about what to expect the unexpected, but I guess it all adds to the fun of the job

-I was lucky to be involved in nation-wide event shoots such as the Singapore Youth Festival 2012. These shoots took place at least 8 hours a day with little rest in between and were really draining... but I got to meet other photographers and it has definitely been an awesome experience!

-If you have been following me on Facebook and/or Twitter, you would probably have seen the images and blog posts that I posted up. For those who missed, I finally got around to sorting and editing work from my previous trips! You can read about my Northern Thailand trip where we we tried to do things differently by visiting some out-of-the-way places to get a unique local experience.

-I've also been to a few photography seminars by veterans in the industry such as wedding photographers, travel photographers, portrait photographers, and it's good to be inspired by their personality and the work they do! Sometimes I feel that I'm moving and l learning too slowly, really need to push myself more and more!!


Lastly, I can't do features for the time being as I'm back to a free account
Glad to be back and I'll be bringing more work for your viewing pleasure (and not viewing agony I hope)!
PS: It's a long entry, and I know that not being able to post thumbnails and images tire the eyes really quickly...

Like I mentioned in my first journal entry, something terrible, terrible happened last weekend.

I received news that one of my close relatives was swept away by the typhoon, Washi, which rampaged over the Southern islands in the Philippines. Apparently, he was directly located around the main river, working up on a crane or something, when disaster struck...Until now, he has not been found... This was so sudden, and came as a shock to everyone. We are hoping everyday for a miracle.


This incident made me realise again how fragile human beings are. And made me recall my past memories of another friend and relative.

Hi my dear friends!

Looking back at my gallery, some of my first deviations on DA were First light, Mount Robson, and were submitted in the first week of Dec. It's been more than a week since then.

Maybe some of you are wondering what the title means. Although as all of you can see that my account has been here for 3 years (!), I forgot all about it and was inactive all the while. It was only until the past week that I decided to start my journey on DA.
I'm not sure what was the reason, but maybe because I was feeling down recently and was looking for an outlet... Something terrible happened, but that'll be for another post...

But all I can say is, my first week in DA has been simply great! I realised that the community here is really friendly, and they help out one another too, so thank you very much for making my start here in DA a great one

With that, a very happy holiday season to everyone and I look forward to interacting with all of you!


Argh...journal skins require premium membership... X_X Is it possible to edit the default journal skin by ourselves and use it?

EDIT: Ok I found out that only premium members are allowed to use skins or make custom changes...
